Remember how I didn't do any posts in December? How you pined away, hoping I would write something, ANYTHING, to brighten your day? Sorry about that. But I was writing, I swear.

Part of my fellowship involves researching and working on a project - mine happens to be wildfire. And in December, I was writing an article for Newsweek about wildfire and development in the western US. Yesterday, it showed up online and it's going to be in next week's print edition.

See? I told you it wasn't all gingerbread buffalo and holiday parties.
