PODCASTS

Wild Thing is a narrative, serialized podcast about the weird topics that we find ourselves obsessing over. This sound-rich and well-reported show explores the relationship between science and society, and the questions for which science might not have the answers. Whether it’s searching for Sasquatch, eyeballing space space for any signs of alien life, or thinking big (and small) about the atom, asking questions about the unknown helps us understand ourselves a little bit better.

Each of Wild Thing’s three seasons is a standalone story. Pick whichever one tugs at your imagination (and then come back to hear the others).

SEASON ONE

Season One of Wild Thing journeys into the world of Bigfoot, introducing us to the true believers and the I-want-to-believers, while seeking to understand why the fascination persists.

SEASON TWO

Wild Thing: Space Invaders has listeners gazing skyward in an exploration of the ongoing search for extraterrestrial life, from the single-celled to the big-brained. Are we really alone in the universe?

SEASON THREE

Drawing on a 60-year-old nuclear accident, Wild Thing: Going Nuclear looks at our ongoing fascination with and fear of atomic power—and whether we humans are actually responsible enough to use it.
